  • Ability to customize the webapp to suit your taste by changing the theme from light to dark, the font size and opting for a larger “story card” with more information per story at your fingertips (from the Settings menu, at top right).

  • Simplified navigation to any section within News; just click on the Google News icon (top left) to see a list of available sections (including any custom sections you created).

  • Easier integration with Google Feedback located in the menu at the top right.

Additionally we have ensured that some favorite desktop features have been included such as:

  • A weather gadget in the Local section.

  • The popular “Editors Picks” option.

  • Social posts from Google + related to the story are included in the article cluster.

We’re launching in the US first and plan to bring the same experience to all our international editions soon.

According to eyewitnesses, a petrol tanker discharging gasoline exploded at the Conoil gas station opposite the NNPC building in Abuja.

The huge fireball could be seen in areas around Abuja. There is no immediate report of casualty caused by the explosion.

The fire raged for several hours, especially as the NNPC initially refused to use their firefighters to assist in ending the fire.  As at time of filing this report the fire is still raging although NNPC has ordered the release of two tankers which made no impact on the fire.

Scotchy Scotch Toss Puts The Rob Burgundy Spin On Paper Toss

Scotchy Scotch Toss Puts The Rob Burgundy Spin On Paper Toss

scotchy The release of the highly anticipated new film, Anchorman 2, has given Paramount Pictures a whole plethora of marketing material to play with including a joint advertising effort with Dodge Motors and now includes a mobile game. The game, Scotchy Scotch Toss, is available on Android now for $0.99 and uses the familar gameplay from the wildly popular game, Paper Toss, except that instead of tossing paper into the wastebin, you will be tossing ice into Mr. Burgundy’s scotch.

And the best thing about this? Will Ferrell, Ron Burgundy himself, has lent his vocal chords to add over 300 lines, mostly for denigrating your tossing skills, in that classic news anchor manner. The game doesn’t look terrible complicated, but does appear to innovate slightly from the straightforward Paper Toss game and adds Burgundy’s comments when you don’t hit the desired target. Check out Paramount Digital Entertainment’s trailer for Scotchy Scotch Toss below:

I’m a bit surprised that such a simple game would still cost $0.99 instead of being completely free, though the added allure of getting extra Ron Burgundy lines may make this a done deal for some. Are you going to pick up Scotchy Scotch Toss? If you’re interested, hit the links below to visit the Play Store page.

Clean Installation of Windows 10 on Acer Aspire

Clean Installation of Windows 10 on Acer Aspire

Ive decided to install Windows 10 on my Acer Aspire E15, and I did it today, and I notice great difference in terms of performance over Windows 8.1. (I will point out what I did to make a clean installation on my Acer Aspire Notebook

1. Activation.
It will took 24-48 hours to activate if you make a clean installation. So, upgrading from your previous version is recommended. There are lots of complaints on various forum saying they could not activate windows after clean installation. Microsoft also mentioned that you need to upgrade first before make a clean installation. However recently I found that after the installation, you need to log in to your Microsoft account (live account) and it will activated within 1 or 2 days.

2. Windows Version
Check your windows version so that you can upgrade for free, for example I am using Windows 8.1 Single Language so I can only install Windows 10 Home. If you install Windows 10 Pro Over Windows 8 (basic edition) you will need to purchase the activation key.

3. Create a bootable USB
You will have no problems if you are using DVD to install windows 10. If you are using USB, most current Notebook uses UEFI, it means using Windows USB/DVD released by Microsoft will not work. What what I did was download and install rufus, run the program and create a bootable USB. It has a feature where you can select to format it as GPT for UEFI because MBR only works for notebook tat using BIOS (not UEFI). You also need to select fat32 and not NTFS for the file system.

4. Installation
Upon power on your laptop, press F12 (other model might need to press other keys) to enter the boot selection, select your USB device to start install windows 10. . Remove your USB upon reboot so that it will not boot from the USB and restart the whole installation process again. If you familiar with BIOS/UEFI you can change the setting in the BOOT menu and set your USB as 2nd boot device and your HDD as the first boot device.

5. Product Key/CD Key/Activation
During installation, it will ask for Product Key twice. First time you just need to select Skip and the second select do this later. After the installation finish, just connect to the internet and it will automatically  activated within 2 days . (If not you may need to contact Microsoft to sort it out, and of course someone did contact Microsoft using online chat and success, but he also mentioned how long he have to wait to resolve that matter.)

6. Drivers
Windows 8 or Windows 7 driver should work in Windows 10, but the first thing you need to do is to run automatic updates because it will install the latest drivers for you notebook. I noticed on my Acer there are 3 drivers missing which is (you can check this on device manager):

Video driver : Basic Display Adapater
I use Intel HD driver, I got 4 options to install driver which are download from Acer website, Download from Intel website, run automatic update or directly right click and select update driver from device manager. I use the last option because it does not matter what version it will install, Its low end graphic and the driver wont show any significant improvement. (right?)

TXE Driver : I forgot the name before I installed the driver (lol)
However this driver will not updated automatically, I need to download TXE driver from Acer to install this driver.

SMS message access
This device is some sort of bluetooth component, I just need to install bluetooth driver from acer website. Since I didnt use Bluetooth, I just ignore and leave it there.

So there you go, If you have problems, question or suggestion, leave your comments on the comments section below.

Celebrating Hannukah on Instagram

To see more photos and videos from Hannukah celebrations around the world, browse the #Hannukah, #Chanukah, #dreidel and #menorah hashtags.

Over the past eight days, Jews across the world have come together with family and friends to celebrate Hannukah, the festival of lights.

Hannukah, also spelled Chanukah, begins on the 25th of the Jewish month of Kislev, causing the timing of the holiday to vary each year between late November and late December. The festival commemorates the Maccabee rebellion of 167 BCE, when a Jewish group regained control of their Temple in Jerusalem after it had been occupied by Syrian-Greek soldiers. They set out to burn ritual oil in the Temple’s menorah for eight days to purify the holy space, but found there was only enough oil left to burn for one day. As the story goes, however, the oil miraculously burned for the full eight days.

Now, Jews celebrating Hannukah come together at sunset to light candles in their own menorahs—one a night for eight nights in memory of the ancient miracle. Other Hannukah traditions involve spinning the dreidel—a traditional children’s game—and eating fried potato pancakes called latkes.
